Interested in speaking at the WaterPro Conference? This event is a great place to showcase new technology and connect with Water Professionals from around the country. We host more than 80 concurrent sessions along with a growing exhibit hall and many networking opportunities.

What is the session format?
Each session is 1 hour long. We ask our presenters to keep their presentation a bit shorter than that to leave room for questions from attendees at the end.
Sessions can be a normal presentation with 1-2 speakers or a panel discussion.
All speakers for each session must present in person. We do not offer virtual presentation options.

What do I need to submit with my abstract?
We will need the following information with your submission:
- Speaker information (Name, title, email, mailing address)
- Speaker biography and headshot
- Session title (limited character space)
- Short description of session
- Learning objectives of session
- Ability level of session

What topic(s) should my session cover?
WaterPro sessions cover a wide range of topics, allowing attendees to learn and experience as much as possible during the conference. We adjust our topics each year to incorporate new ideas and emerging trends in the industry. Topics can include, but are not limited to:
- Board Leadership
- Cyber & Physical Security
- Emerging Contaminants
- Public Relations
- Regionalization, Consolidation, & Partnerships
- Disaster Response & Recovery
- Source Water Protection
- Technology, Innovation, & Mapping

How many attendees should I expect in my session if selected?
Our session rooms vary in size and will be assigned based on track attendance in past years. We can range anywhere from 35-150 attendees per session.

Are handouts allowed during my session?
Yes, you may provide your session attendees with any supplemental information to help them understand the topic and enhance their knowledge of the subject. Please note, speakers are responsible for bringing their own handouts to the session.

As a speaker, do I receive a complimentary registration to WaterPro?
Yes! All speakers receive a complimentary full registration, which allows them access to the exhibit hall, other sessions and any additional events at the conference. You will receive an email with a speaker code once registration is open.

Are session speakers compensated?
Session speakers are not usually compensated for their speaking engagement, unless previously discussed with conference agenda managers. Speakers will be responsible for their own travel and hotel accommodations, but we are more than willing to help you during this process. Please let Becca Murray know if you have any questions regarding your hotel room.

When will I know if my abstract was selected?
You’ll receive email confirmation if your abstract was selected after the call for abstracts closes. If you are not selected, you will receive an email letting you know that as well. Please add projectmanager@a2zinc.net and speakers@nrwa.org to your safe sender list to ensure you receive updates regarding your abstract.

When does the call for abstracts open and close?
The 2026 WaterPro Conference call for abstracts opened on January 5 and closed on March 6. Speakers will be notified via email of their acceptance.
